Wedding ~ Amanda & Paul: i do ~ Milden Hall, Sudbury, Suffolk

I’m really not quite sure where to start with this wedding…there really were so many beautiful things about it! Apart from the obvious bits you could see…to name but a few – Milden Hall (a gorgeous mix of tranquility and eccentricity), the dress (which was made from Vintage lace Amanda had come across), the Vintage Broach bouquet (Amanda had sourced each and every broach and lovingly spent hours crafting it!), the flowers (an eclectic mix that sat so bright and happy together), the Cakes (hand made by Amanda’s sister), the Name place tags (again hand crafted) and the Vintage Lavender bags (each hanky collected and filled with dried lavender by Amanda). What made this wedding super special though was the people, the energy, the bond between Amanda and Paul….there was so much love in the room between and for these guys, that I could almost touch it :-)

As well as going for a relaxed, fun, informal wedding, Amanda anad Paul wanted their wedding to be really inclusive, so it was essential for them that their guests felt special and a true part of their coming together. The day started off with Amanda, Paul and their close friends and family getting ready together. The vibe was lovely, with everyone beavering around the place doing little jobs here and there. Everyone did something to help in the flow of the day – many helped to dress the Barn, Paul’s brother drove the lovely Amanda to the church in Sudbury, where they were married by a friend of theirs from London, which created a really personal ceremony – full of such happiness, sentiment and love. Furthermore, friends from a local choir in London also travelled up espcially to sing including a very special version of ‘Signed, sealed, delivered’ – lots of smiles all around I can tell you! Afterwards, the guests enjoyed Belinis and rhubarb infused Processco, served in the wonderful gardens at Milden Hall, with traditional Irish music from a very talented group of musicians who had again come up from London especially! After much laughter and a few tears caused by some very touching speeches, the evening was perfectly rounded off with some Modern Line Dancing, with everyone strutting their stuff to the likes of Human League ‘Don’t You Want Me’, haha which was really great fun.

Amanda and Paul, it was an absolute pleasure to capture your gorgeous day, and I wish you both lots of love and light on your married journey together xxx

Oh Wow Annamarie, I’ve just read your beautiful comments on the wedding at the top of the page and you’ve captured it all SO well, SO eloquently that you’ve gone and made me all teary! Seriously, for those people not there, everything Annamarie said is true and just how it was- and more even. No hype. Simply, I have lived no happier day in all my life and don’t expect I will again, unless it’s my turn to be the groom…

Thank you Annamarie for giving us the memories forever and doing it justice. How you’ve done it I don’t know but you have. xx

Well I never, I didnt think there was any way that anyone could capture the sheer beauty and wonder and love of the day, but you really did! What a wonderful day and what absolutely stunning photos! I was so honoured to be a guest at such a wonderful day, and these photos are getting me all misty eyed again!

I’m starting my own journey into the wedding business, so I find myself perusing many of the wedding blogs and this is by far the prettiest and most wonderful wedding I’ve seen.
