Abi and Adam got married…and quite simply everything about them, their families and their celebrations was truly beautiful! They opted for a vintage inspired vibe – with Abi choosing a gorgeous Claire Pettibone couture dress and the wonderfully talented Severin Hubert from Hepburn Collection to create her vintage hairstyle and the lovely talented Katie to create her vintage look with beautiful vintage inspired make up….a real dream team! And Adam wore the traditional Scottish dress reflecting his roots – topped off with the perfect backdrop of Eltham Palace…all just simply stunning!

Abi and Adam it was truly a pleasure to capture your gorgeous day and I’ll remember it always with very fond memories…especially loved the Ceilidh at the end of the night – reminiscent of my own wedding! Best wishes to you both on your new and exciting journey as ‘Mr & Mrs R’ xxx

Styled Shoots: Deco Debutante Inspired Shoot ~ Warren House, Surrey

Recently I had the pleasure of being asked by the lovely Amelia Barnes from Vintage Floral Teas to be the photographer for a little shoot she had in mind…inspired by the Deco Debutante scene. Amelia gathered together some hand picked suppliers for her shoot, and together I think it created a rather gorgeous inspirational shoot. The back drop for it was Warren House in a quiet little spot in Kingston, Surrey – rather lovely indeedy! In the early 1900s, Warren House was the ideal setting for royal hospitality and society parties. The owners of Warren House – the Pagets – were great friends of King Edward, and featured prominently in both London and New York societies. Lady Paget was the former Miss Minnie Stevens of New York, and was well known amongst fashionable society both in London and across the waters in America. With this in mind, Amelia rightly felt that Warren House with all this rich cultural history would serve as the ideal backdrop for her shoot – and she also took further inspiration from well known style icons from the 1930′s, such as Wallis Simpson and the glamour of the actress Romola Garai in the film Glorious 39.

And finally, I must give a special mention to the other very talented creative wedding peeps who poured their time and energy into creating the wonderful results…

Meet the gorgeous Jemma and Harry…oh and of course the star of the show hehe – Alfie the house bunny (I need one…really I do! he is just soooooo cute!!!). After a little cuddle with Alfie, we set off to their local Wimbledon Park….now of course it wouldn’t be right to shoot there and not have a pose on the tennis courts, so we did! hehe And don’t they just look so lovely together….heaps of love and warmth between them…it really was a pleasure to spend time with them and get to know them better, ahead of their super gorgeous quirky fun filled wedding this summer at the rather fabulous South Farm …it promises to be a goodie, full of lots of love and laughter (oooooh and lots of flowers….as Jemma’s mum is a florist! hehe)!
